Our unique In-Line Boring
Machine is capable of machining everything from the largest
commercial engine block down to the smallest cylinder head.

Cylinder
Head Surface Grinding
Cylinder heads and blocks
are ground to within manufacturers' specified tolerances,
using precision grinding equipment; alloy heads are re-ground
with tungsten carbide tools. Other components, such as brake
drums, discs and transmission assemblies can also be precision
machined to manufacturers' specifications.

Cylinder Reboring
Our specialist cylinder-reboring
machine can save expensive replacement of engine blocks. The
block is rebored to manufacturers' tolerances using out vertical-boring
machine. Accuracy is paramount and each cylinder is checked
with a cylinder bore gauge, and then transferred to the honing
machine for final finishing.

Honing
Our Vertical Beam Technology
allows us to precision-hone cylinder bores to within manufacturers'
sizes and tolerances. Each cylinder is then carefully examined
for accuracy.

Crankshaft Grinding
Our workshop is also fully-equipped
to grind a wide variety of crankshafts - including those from
large commercial engines. All journals are precision-machined
in order to conform to the manufacturer's specification; stroke
and radii are also checked to ensure that they are within
specification.

Valves
All valve components are
reground to manufacturers' specifications - subject, of course,
to thorough checks for wear and tear. Particular attention
is paid to valve stems, which are carefully checked with our
specialist equipment. Where necessary, worn valve guides are
replaced.
Subject to the extent
of wear, damaged valve seats can be re-ground and conditioned.
This is also the basic requirement to convert cylinder heads
for use with unleaded fuel, which is now necessary.

Pressure Testing
Once
stripped down, engine components are subjected to pressures
well in excess of normal operating limits and then thoroughly
tested to conform to specified engine running temperatures.
Using special jigs, we can examine each component in minute
detail. Test results on each component are then documented.

Crack Detections
Our specialist Crack Detecting
equipment can detect the finest crack through the use of ultra
violet electro-magnetic particles. This ensures that even
the most minute hairline crack is discovered.
